Date: Tue, 13 Jan 1998 00:14:42 -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi everyone, A while back, John Levene and Haney Jones organized a Permanent Tree for the distribution of high quality Leftover Salmon recordings. The plan was to have a permanent tree structure set up, and tree one show a month. I think we made it through about Round 5. Due to time constraints, the Permanent Tree is no longer. I am starting a new one. John Levene has generously agreed to seed the tree with one high-quality Salmon show on DAT about once a month. DO NOT sign up for this tree unless you are committed to sticking with this. If you have a tenuous connection to the Internet, if your equipment may not be working in six months, if you might lose interest, DO NOT SIGN UP! Once the structure is established, it will not change until enough people drop out to require a new round of signups and restructuring, and it is best for everyone if that isn't anytime soon. The tree with be both Digital and Analog. Signups will be taken until Noon (or so) Sunday, January 18, 1997. Please use one of the following subject lines, where # is the maximum number of copies you are willing to make each month: If you want to be a Digital Branch use: LoS Tree D>D# If you want to be a Digital To Analog Branch use: LoS Tree D>A# If you want to be a Digital Leaf use: LoS Tree D Leaf If you want to be an Analog Branch use: LoS Tree A>A# If you want to be an Analog Leaf use: LoS Tree A Leaf Preference will be given to branches before leaves. I will try to use addresses to minimize distance between people exchanging tapes. I am SO EXCITED to see Greg in a room like this. I think this is going ot be a fantastic show. I can't wait to stand a couple feet away from Greg, with a tasty pint of McMenamin's IPA in my hands, watching him do his thing, . . . ahhhh, . . . . Even with the a bit expensive ticket price ($25 adv.), I'm all over this one. I hope to see some of the Northwest regulars at this one!! BTW- I know the Allman Brothers didn;t allow still photography at their show in August at Champoeg Park, anyone have any ideas about Greg's policy, (hmmm, what's the mailinglist's address for the ALLman Bros.??) /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ Jason Bryan Schwartz Jschwart@gladstone.uoregon.edu http://www.tapetrading.com/lists/j/s/jschwart@gladstone.uoregon.edu.html " "JASON'S PHOTO ALBUM"(last photos added 1/9/98) http://gladstone.uoregon.edu/~jschwart ------ =_NextPart_000_01BD20E6.502CEB90 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit From: "Heather C-H." To be honest with you, I have no idea how to describe his music. He plays acoustic guitar, and when I saw him, he "freethought" his lyrics. That is, he made up his lyrics as they played. . .kinda folksy i guess. . .he was definitely a highlight in Bear Valley, and I think he's opening for them in Petaluma later this month also. . .where are you going to see them?
