Ok - being the lawyer that I am (or hope to be after Feb 26th) I just have to ask - how was she injured and in what context? First of all, I should add that I have no interest in personal injury law (poverty law/legal aid type stuff is my field of choice), and yes, abulance (sp?) chasers are the sleaziest of the sleaze, but still - if she was hurt, somebody should pay right? I mean, seriously, if people are pissed off that a nasty security guard stole their bowl, well, that sucks, but smoking dope/being in posession of it is a crime. I smoke cigarettes and won't go the Memorial Auditorium in Burlington VT because their pimply faced rent a guards are like the smoking nazi's - but you know what? They can do that and I may not like it, but it's only fair, and it's the law. But if you go to a show, and are trying to enjoy yourself, and are injured by an overzealous power crazed guard - that's a violation that shouldn't happen (any deadheads out there remember the infamous Meadowlands Arena Brendan Byrne show -10/14/89 I believe it was? Security guards were sued all over the place for beating on fans trying to crash the gates, which granted, crashing the gates is wrong, but you don't deserve to get your head slammed into a wall for it) I guess that's all I have to say now. Sorry for the ramble but I'm just curious. -R- ps in keeping with tradition/the "rules" I will offer up a show for blanks and postage or trade for the lack of official content. But and this is a big but, I'm not gonna say what show yet because I have to wait until after the bar. I'm sorry, but I took 8 people on my last offer for Grand Targhee (instead of the three I swore I would do) and I'm just swamped. So look for my celebratory offer sometime around march 1. I should be feeling pretty generous right around then. ********************************************************************* "The Earth, the Sun, the Moon, and Stars, meant so much back then. I can help you out maybe, if ya promise never to refer to them again as "bootlegs". This term has a pejorative connotation and usually in tape "trading" circles, denotes a commercial rip-off enterprise which is an unfortunate side effect of our hobby. Send me your list and if I don't see anything I'd like to trade for, I'll spin ya some for B&P. Posting this to the list for educational purposes, since I've been campaigning for years with newbie deadheads about the 'b' word. b ------ =_NextPart_000_01BD3653.D2E4AFF0 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit From: Brad To: "LEFTOVER@lists.colorado.edu" Subject: Looking for 5-31-96 opening for WSP...
