As I look through all the info I have on the show (setlist posted right after it, tree info, what my parent sent me) I realize that there is one small piece of information that's missing.... Where the hell did it take place? I'm sure I knew right around that time, as I'm sure there was some discussion of it, and it was posted on the website, etc. But I've long since forgotten, and I can't find it! I checked the setlist file, and that stops in May 1997. So if some kind soul could just post the venue name and location I'd much appreciate it. My first guess would be the Fox in Boulder, but I'm really not sure about that. BTW, whatever happened to the setlist page? It's not being maintained at all anymore. Anyone have any contact with the guy who was running it? Thanks > Ok, if you dig Salmon you deffinetly need to pick up some New Grass Revival. Um, of course there's always Bill Monroe. And Old & In The Way seems to be a favorite around here. Then you have the individual members of O&ITW Dave Grisman, Peter Rowan, Vassar Clements, and Jerry and Dave did have a few really fun albums they did together. Then, following Peter Rowan you come to Jerry Douglas. And following Grisman you have Dave Grisman's Rounder Album (great album) that has, Ricki Scaggs, Jerry Douglas, Todd Phillips, Vince Gill, Tony Rice, and some others. Todd Phillips is a member of Psycograss, which gives you Mike Aldredge, Tony Trishka, and a couple of other people I can't remember. But, Tony will lead to Bela, which leads back to New Grass, which leads to Sam Bush, which leads to Emily Lou Harris, which leads to... Basically, pick up an album check it out, look at who played on it, and find more stuff by them then use their albums to find new people, to find new people, etc. Also, pick up some magazines. The new copy of Bluegrass Unlimited has a HUGE listing of festivals and the new Dity Linen has a cover article on Psycograss and a review of the new Ricki Scaggs albums (his country album and his bluegrass album). matt ------ =_NextPart_001_01BD3D75.7C879450 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit From: "gfellman@du.edu" To: "leftover@lists.colorado.edu" Subject: Happy VD!!
