Yes, there always did seem to be one or two out-of-control types but I think that is true at anybody's gig. I remember at the Boulder Theater once we were bouncing around and one of my friends (lovingly) ran into me and I did a sort of fake tumble back to the wall and slid to the floor, whereupon my friends Mike Cutler and Tom Wilcoxen(are you guys out there?)and crew picked me up, body-surfed me over their heads to the middle of the floor & then set me down. Set me down next to this young woman who then gave me the dirtiest of looks. Like I was the bad guy. Guess she wasn't aware of the procedure.... Maybe if the message of respect were somehow communicated more effectively. If you want these shows to circulate a bit among the analog crowd, I would be happy to make offers to SCI, LOS and probably the ABB list as well. I did this for a couple of SCI shows and it seems to be going really smoothly. I have promised to spin HiFi VHS copies for 10 people and I have already received and sent back 5 copies so far to good review. Anyway, I know this is a lot to ask, but I would love to have the whole experience, since I spent a pretty boring NYE myself, and I know there are DAT people out there who would like to spin for analog, but don't have the time\inclination to deal with flips and figuring tape lengths. Thanks, pasta and sweeta-velveeta to all! Getting beer splashed on your head is one thing, an elbow to the head is quite another. -Tim ------ =_NextPart_000_01BD43B6.8DCEC890 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit From: Daniel Ritchey To: Christopher Neil Bridges , "REEDL@ECSUC.CTSTATEU.EDU" , Christopher Neil Bridges , "REEDL@ECSUC.CTSTATEU.EDU" Cc: "leftover@lists.colorado.edu" , "leftover@lists.colorado.edu" Subject: Re: Does the Tapers choice CD come out this Tuesday? Blockbuster said they showed it would be released June 9, but it was "highlighted" which was unheard of for an unrealeased album according to the clerk. I don't know what that means. I'll post if I do actually get the copy, but they may be mistaken.
