Hey folks ! Thought it was time i spoke up... I've been lurking in the shadows of this list for awhile taken' in all the fine conversations and such and figured it was time i jumped in and became a part of all the fun ;) To start things off, for those of you that I've yet to meet via emails and trading, my name is Nick Herman and I'm down here in North Carolina (Raleigh to be precise). I was turned on to Salmon a little over a year ago thanks to another local fellow we all know and love as Robbie Dunn (How can you posibly thank someone enough for tuning you in !!) I've been a LoS JUNKIE ever since <> !!! Well... now that I've taken' up your time and bored you all with useless info about me, let me offer up a show to the masses. I just recieved a copy of the 2/28/98 show from Frankie's Patio in Tampa, FL on DAT. It is an Aud. DAT taped with AT822 mic's into a DAP1. I'm only about 30min. into it so far and it sounds great (Though if anyone out here has a S:D i wouldn't mind an upgrade.;)) I dont have the set list written down yet (If anyone else has it, it would be great if you would drop me an email) The show is on two 60m's and I'll make it for as many DAT folks as are interested for either trade or B&P, and I'll make it for two analogers for B&P as well. Just drop me an email and we'll set it up. Now... back to lurking ;) ~Peace & Pasta~ Nick Herman http://members.aol.com/Deadsets/index.html ------ =_NextPart_000_01BD4E77.B100DB20 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit From: "johnlevene@juno.com" To: "goheels@mindspring.com" , "leftover@lists.colorado.edu" Subject: Setlists and TapeTracker Date: Wed, 11 Mar 1998 23:46:30 -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hey Robbie - and to others on the LoS list that use TapeTraker, As you know I am mantaining a tapetracker file for String Cheese Incident. Here is what I have learned. Someone, maybe you Robbie, would need to enter all data into the Shows data base for Leftover Salmon. I would recommend entering data for dates and venues even if a set list is not available. I would also recommend adding appropriate comments such as guests played and other special information. Once you have a data file ready for downloading, contact steve and he will give you an export number and information on how to save the file as an (.mdb) file. The Steve is able to set up his web page for downloading the file. Also, tapeteacker does not have the capabilities to convert the file to an html format. I suggested this to him, so maybe as an updated version. To those tapes, dat and analog alike , I highly recommend this program. It is for PC's only , but it is the best software program of it's kind. Not only does it allow maintaining a data base of your tapes, it allows j-card printing for dat, cass and CD's. You can import photo's too for your j-cards. The program allows you to export you list as a txt file for email and as an html file for your own web page. But best of all are the free show data base's for bands like Grateful Dead, JGB, moe, Allman's Phish, Neil Young, MMW,Van Morrison, just to name a few. The software is only $50.00 ( i think) and for an application you will use daily, even multiple times a day this is just .13 pennies per day. go to http://tapetracker.com/ and download the file. It is a full version with a trial period. you can test it out before you commit. Just be aware that if you use it and create a list, the trial period will end and the software will be inaccessible unless you pay the money. john ps. grovel time...still looking for the LoS 9/25/97 Providence RI show.
