I know everyone has different tastes, and it's nice to be exposed to different things and all that, but what turns me on to bands like these is *complexity*. These solo folks bore me to tears, mainly because I couldn't care less about lyrics and the storytelling aspect seems to be important. When I saw a show with Jim Page, he opened and then came out in the second set and kinda took over for awhile (as he has on many shows this tour). It really blew the momentum of the set for me, I don't like having to pay attention to words to get the enjoyment, and the music takes a backseat when there are so many lyrics and you have to follow them to get it. Lyrics aren't always bad of course, it is great to sing along, but only when the music is great too. Andres Segovia is perhaps the only person who could entertain me by himself with a guitar, and that is classical music with no words. Sorry for the negative response, it's not like it's horrible or anything, just thought I'd chime in.
