Every Sunday night, the International Channel, plays programming from the Fujisankei Company (FCI), including trendy dramas such as Sugao No Mamade. Starring Yasuda Narumi and Nakamori Akina, the drama was the most emotional and touching series that I had ever seen. As the drama came to a close, I was determined to find out more about the stars of this program, the writers and the performers of the theme song. At the time, the search engines were void of any of the actors names in English characters. Part of that continuing search led me to meet my wife, Ikuko (Click here for Ikuko's page)

Since then, I have discovered a strong and loyal group of fans including a few North Americans who have discovered Akina through travel to Japan and other parts of Asia and through the International Channel programming.
