Yume to Jiyuu
In March/April 98 hide chan recorded four 2 hour sessions for the radio
station Nippon Houso. The programm is called "All Night Nippo R".
It was broadcasted on the 10th, 17th, 24th of April and the last
session on the 1st of May 1998 from 3:00 - 5:00 A.M.
All four sessions were recorded in L.A.
Later Nippon Houso decided to make a book out of these sessions.
hide chan talking on 211 pages! So most of this book is text of course
but in the rear there are some nice photos taken during the recording of
this program in L.A.
The first session is called "History of hide" there hide chan talks about
how he became a musician, about his first band Saber Tiger,
how he met Yoshiki and X and how he became an X member...
The second session is called: "Future of Music", there hide chan talks about
the music scene in L.A. and Japan and how he thinks this and that
style is going to develop or not and how it developed and so on...
The third session is called: "All About L.A." and hide chan talks about
his life in the US.... all the nice and bad things about life in America for
a Japanese... For me the most interesting session!
Because we learn that American Coffee tastes just awful! It's just
"kuroi mizu" = black water!
That in every bar they tear your glass of beer out of your hand
at 2 in the morning because of some strange law!
That everyone has a car and you can't get anywhere
without it! That you are not allowed to smoke anywhere! That there
is a "Japanese" take out shop where you get spaghetti instead of soba...
and so on! (laugh)...
And the fourth session is about "Lemoned". hide chan explains about
Lemoned label, about Zeppet Store, about the Lemoned Shop, about
Cut Zone Squash, about the Indian Summer Special, about
Lemoned Mix Jelly and about WooFer...
Thanxxx Nippon Houso... Yume to Jiyuu (which means Dream and
Freedom) is a very good book and tells everyone who has the chance
to get it and read it a lot about hide chan... which means of course that
hide chan tells a lot about himself!
