Tokyo Report 1999-2000!
Happy 2000!!!!
A little late, but better late than never!
I have been to Tokyo again over New Year's Eve and here is a short report
on the hide chan related activities Iguana did:
The biggest event was of course the
"hide - Dive to 2000"
event, held at
Fuji Television Building in Odaiba, Tokyo,
from the 18th of December 1999 till the 2nd of January 2000.
"hide - Dive to 2000" was a photo exhibition of hide chan photos taken by the
famous Japanese photographer Hideo Canno.
The photos displayed in the exhibition were
taken from Canno's photo book "hide" that some of you might already have bought
as Christmas Present 1999. A non-delux version will be issued in Japan as paperback
by the end of January.
Further they had video montages of hide chan photos shot by Canno running on two big
screen and a few computers and they exhibited some of hide chan's original stage costumes,
as well as the famous "Hide Your Face" Mask original, designed by H.R. Giger.
Since the exhibition also had the subtitle "A Story" that was the song that they played
in an endless loop in the exhibition halls, but...
I went to the exhibition two times, on the 26th of December and on the 31st...
New Year's Eve! Thanx to a friend (thanxxx!) I had managed to get a ticket from 23:00 to 1:00!
So I was right there to really "Dive to 2000"!!!
On the TV screens they did a countdown to 2000 and when we had reached the magic
number: 0:00, 1.1.2000 outside in Tokyo bay was a big fireworks and in the exhibition
hall the music changed to Rocket Dive followed by Pink Spider and Ever Free and the
new version of Tell Me (to be released as single CD in Jan.) before they turned
back to the "A Story" loop.
It was a very nice "Dive to 2000", thanx hide chan and thanx Mr.Canno.
One more specialty was the special ticket for the 31st which you see below,
. .

Well, but before going to the "Dive to 2000" event there was another event in Yoyogi Park!

Shuu-chan and Koo-chan!!!!
Osewa ni narimashita! Sugoi ichinichi deshita, arigatou!
And below, last but not least, the new face of the Lemoned Shop in Tokyo, Omotesandou.
As you can see I had very good weather in Tokyo and the sun was shining too bright! (laugh)
So the photo does not really show what I want it to show, but if you take a very good look you might
discover hide chan (and his hand) telling us about the new Tell Me version release! (laugh).
And also thanxx to Liao san, Shoko san, Otchan, Masaya san, Q san, Hopi chan, Eri chan,
Haruka chan, Miho chan, Ritsuko san and all the others!!!!
